2. SHIPMENTS AND RETURNS
2.1 Shipping
Shipping costs are invoiced per order and are borne by the customer. This amount will be added to the total cost of the order.
For orders over €200 and delivered to mainland Portugal and the islands, shipping costs are free. For purchases below this value or for delivery to other territories, shipping costs have an associated transport cost, which is informed at checkout.
Orders sent to countries outside the European Union or with different customs and tax policies than most European Union countries may be subject to taxes, customs duties and fees charged in the destination country (Import Fees). The recipient of an international transfer may be subject to Import Fees at the time the transfer arrives in your country and may incur additional customs clearance charges. Piccolo Baby & Kids® does not control these charges and cannot make an estimate. Customs policies vary greatly from country to country, so the customer should contact their local customs office for more information. In cases where customs clearance procedures take place, there may be a delay in relation to the estimated shipping time.
2.2 Payment methods
The Piccolo Baby & Kids® website accepts the following payment methods:
• Visa
• PayPal
• Multibanco Reference
• MBWay
• Klarna
The available payment methods are those presented on this website and no other payment methods other than those mentioned will be accepted.
The customer must only pay the exact amount specified in the confirmation of each order, and must do so using only the payment methods described above. Otherwise, if the Customer tries to use another unforeseen payment method, Piccolo Baby & Kids® cannot be held responsible for the loss of payment or any other damages that may result.
After making their purchase, the Customer must ensure that they receive an automatic email confirming the transaction, which must be printed or saved for future reference.
Your order will only be processed after confirmation of payment. In case of non-payment or non-compliance or non-confirmation of these General Conditions, Piccolo Baby & Kids® reserves the right not to accept the customer's order, or to cancel it, even after automatic confirmation.
Piccolo Baby & Kids® reserves the right not to confirm and/or deliver the products ordered by the Customer, regardless of the reason, and is exempt from liability for any damages or costs, if:
• any unpredictable event or change to current circumstances arises that may affect production, transportation and respective costs, or that causes abnormal increases in the prices of raw materials;
• if, for any reason, it is impossible to properly collect and receive the respective payment;
• if the ordered products are no longer available;
• if the order was placed with errors in the data essential for delivery of the order;
• if the order is flagged by the website's security systems as an incorrect, irregular order and/or considered fraud.
In any of the aforementioned cases, Piccolo Baby & Kids® will inform the Customer by email about such a situation where it is impossible to confirm the sale and the consequent cancellation of the order, refunding the amount paid for the items.
No reservations are made. Failure to pay for the order within the next 24 hours will result in cancellation.
2.4 Delivery
Products ordered from the Piccolo Baby & Kids® online store will be shipped and delivered on business days, Monday to Friday.
During the purchase process, addresses for billing and delivery of the order will be requested. Good delivery of the order can only be guaranteed if these details are correct. The address mentioned is the sole responsibility of the customer.
A delivery is considered made or a product is considered delivered with the signature of the delivery receipt at the agreed address.
Upon delivery, the Customer must inspect the packaging and products sent to check for any damage. If the products are found to be damaged, the customer must not accept delivery of the order, which must be returned immediately using the Return mechanism provided at www.piccolo.pt. Piccolo Baby & Kids® will reimburse the amounts paid for the order and transportation as soon as it receives and completes the return process at its headquarters.
The order is considered accepted if, after receiving the order, the Customer does not return the order within the subsequent 14 (calendar) days.
The estimated time for dispatch of the order may vary depending on the carrier and the destination of the order.
Piccolo Baby & Kids® only ships orders on business days. Therefore, to estimate the delivery time of orders, weekends and public holidays are not taken into account. Any delay in shipping items, given the estimated dates presented, does not entitle you to compensation.
The maximum estimated shipping time is 10 working days, except during festive or busy seasons when this process may change. Piccolo Baby & Kids® will notify the customer if this happens.
After dispatch by Piccolo Baby & Kids®, the order must be delivered by the Transport Company or CTT within the following estimated deadlines:
– Portugal (Continental): up to 2 business days (carrier)
– Portugal (Islands): up to 5 business days (CTT)
The order will be sent to the indicated recipient and address. The address mentioned is the sole responsibility of the customer.
2.6 Exchanges/returns/complaints
We value the total satisfaction of our customers. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, please contact us via email at info@piccolo.pt within a maximum period of 14 days after receiving your order, indicating the order number or sending the purchase invoice. You must indicate which part(s) you wish to exchange.
Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of February 14, the Customer has a period of 14 days after receiving the order at the address chosen by the Customer, to return or exchange their item(s). item(s) if you find that they have defects or other non-conformities in relation to the products ordered.
If the Customer decides to exchange the item(s) purchased, Piccolo Baby & Kids® reserves the right not to accept them if they show signs of use, have been washed, do not have labels in their original condition or in any other way damaged due to misuse of them.
The item(s) must be sent in its original packaging, with all its components present, accompanied by the original invoice, to the following address:

Shipping costs associated with exchange/return will be the responsibility of the customer. Piccolo Baby & Kids® does not assume any responsibility in the event of loss or damage occurring when sending the returned product.
After receiving the item(s) you wish to exchange at our facilities, we will process them within a maximum period of five working days.
• In case of return, what is the refund method?
We do not provide monetary refunds.
If you wish to return an item purchased in our online store, the amount will be refunded via a purchase voucher of the same value.

• Do you reimburse transportation expenses?
We only reimburse shipping costs for orders that contain defective or incorrect products.
If it is a simple exchange of item, color or size, then, after checking the availability of that product, it is sent to the address you indicate to us in the exchange process. The customer is responsible for transportation and the costs inherent in sending products returned for exchange.
Piccolo Baby & Kids® is not responsible for the misuse of its items, nor for their incorrect washing. We always suggest that you consult the WASHING/USE INSTRUCTIONS on the labels of the respective products.
